Anyhow, I have provided some screenshots. I don't know if it is related to this same problem, or if this piece of shit monitor I had to hook up last week is effecting my rig (I don't know if monitors effect computer performance). I'm starting to get the Blue Screen about once a day now. So I thought about asking here, because there are a few smart cookies here that know about this stuff. I've even read that formatting the hd doesn't fix this either. I've been searching for months to find a solution, but nothing I've tried works.

I tried another trick modifying something in RegEdit which didn't work, and renders the patch useless. This has been know to happen after installing XP SP2, and they Microsoft has a patch for it, but it doesn't work on my rig. I have to do this about every 2 or 3 restarts.įor the visual style, it goes to a basic Windows 98/2000 looking style. I've had this computer for 5 yrs, and this is the first time I've seen this problem.įor the audio, I have to go to Start/Run and enter services.msc and have to start Windows Audio. It effects my Windows Audio and Visual Style (which I use Tune-up Utilities for that). When I rebooted after removing it, and logged back in to my desktop, I got this error : Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. My problem happened right after I unistalled the stupid and totally out of date security suite. Once I got it removed (well about 80% of it anyways), I reinstalled Avast!.

For starters it slowed my system down and was starting to suck monkey balls, so I unistalled it (Which took forever because I had to download removal tools and all sorts of other bullshit).

Back a few months, I switched to my ISP's Internet Security Suite, which was an old 2007 version (That should have been a red flag to not install it).
